About Us

Different Roads. Same Drive.

Driving Forever is a community for people who love driving, all of it, from the daily commute in something sensible to a weekend in something special. Cars mean different things to different people, and we think every version of that passion deserves a home.

What we're about

Driving culture is under more pressure than it's ever been, and some of that pressure is fair. We want to be part of the answer: a community that welcomes everyone, shares what it knows, looks out for the people around it, and shows that enthusiasts can be trusted with the thing they love. That thinking is written down in the Driver's Code, and it runs through everything we build.

A Driving Forever community meet

DF Garage is almost here

After nearly a decade of planning, the first piece of what we've been building is almost ready. DF Garage is a companion app for every enthusiast: somewhere to track your vehicles, log fuel and servicing, build trading cards of your cars, and find the people who get it. It's the first thing we're putting in your hands, and there's more on the way. If you'd like in early, drop your email and we'll let you know the moment it's live.

Behind the wheel

Driving Forever was founded by Mike Stearne, who has spent his working life behind the wheel on New Zealand roads: tour guide, chauffeur, taxi and rideshare driver, 4x4 tour guide and instructor, and defensive driving instructor. He loves anything with wheels, with a particular soft spot for Mazda rotaries and German V8s.

The idea has been close to a decade in the making. Build something that keeps what's good about driving culture, moves it forward for what's coming, and brings people together instead of dividing them by badge or budget.

Join the journey

The car world is changing fast, and we'd rather meet that change with a strong, welcoming community than watch from the sidelines. If that sounds like your kind of thing, come along for the drive.
