Wow! I missed one Monday blog post at the end of February when I went on a work trip to Canada, and wouldn't you know it - I derailed myself from making any progress on here for nearly 2 months! Stickability is one of my biggest challenges when I take on something new (and potentially beneficial). I'm not going to beat myself up over it, but now that I'm back, let's see if I can get a little more consistency happening!
Anyway, on the store front, I've added a bunch of new brands of tyre valve caps to the store. Now I need to get to work on making people aware of them and getting some sales. Top of mind is also getting an appropriate logo so I can start making Driving Forever a brand.
I've had a good summer of driving my Rx-8, but I finally got to a gearbox shop to have it checked out and the news was worse than I expected. I was hoping that the noise I've been hearing was coming from the release bearing and was connected to the unnecessary racing clutch that the car came with. Sadly, it's actually coming from the gearbox itself, so that's going to be an expensive job! It's beyond my ability to take on something like this myself, so I've just had to suck it up and book it in with the professionals like a grown up.
The other experiment that didn't work for me was buying and trying the Sony PS5 VR2 Headset. It's incredible, and I loved using it in Showroom Mode on Gran Turismo 7, but as soon as I tried racing, it left me feeling very nauseous! I know I could probably work on making this go away but it was really unpleasant and I'm pretty sure I just need to get rid of this (and maybe put the cash towards my gearbox)!
